The
Illawarra PC Users' Group Incorporated, commonly known as
Illawarra Computer Enthusiasts, or ICE , is a growing non-profit organisation of novices, experts, computer professionals and casual users that began in the 80's. A General Meeting is held on the 2nd Friday, 7:30 pm, and on the 4th Saturday (February to November), 1:00 pm, of each month at the Unanderra Community Centre, Princes Highway, Unanderra a southern suburb of Wollongong in New South Wales. The meetings begin, after the general opening remarks, with a presentation by a well known computer identity, who presents a live demonstration of the latest and greatest computer hardware, software or related service. These presentations vary greatly from month to month and always prove to be very interesting for all members. After a short tea break the meeting proceeds generally to another short presentation and a general Question and Answer time. During the coffee break, members and guests mingle to share experiences and problems while getting to know other members in a very sociable atmosphere. After this break, there is usually a demonstration of some fun or useful new shareware programs that are available to all members. Bring a printable CD-R along in case you would like a copy,alternately your can pay $2.00 to defray costs. All of our meetings are open to the public An annual membership fee entitles you to free entry to all general meetings, a hardcopy of a comprehensive newsletter which is posted eleven times a year to all members, and discounts on fees at all workshops and training sessions, as well as technical support from our more advanced users. |
