Main Pages

The Illawarra PC Users' Group Incorporated, commonly known as
Illawarra Computer Enthusiasts
, or ICE
, is a growing  non-profit organisation of novices, experts, computer  professionals and casual users that began in the 80's.

A General Meeting is held on the second Friday, 7:30 pm, and on the 4th Saturday (February to November), 1:00 pm, of each month at the Unanderra Community Centre, Princes Highway, Unanderra a southern suburb of Wollongong in New South Wales.

The meetings begin with a general Question and Answer time which is followed by an exciting guest presentation by a well known computer expert, who presents a live demonstration of the latest and greatest computer hardware, software or related service. These presentations vary greatly from month to month and always prove to be very interesting for all members.

The aims of ICE is to conduct activities promoting the effective utilisation of personal computers, and to endevour to achieve such effective utilisation by the means of:

  • Advancing computer literacy
  • Keeping members abreast of developments in computing and information technology
  • Enabling members to exchange information and experiences
  • Providing a forum for the exchange of views amongst computer users and between computer users and the computer industry

To foster these aims ICE

  • Conducts workshops and training programs
  • Publishes a newsletter 11 times a year
  • Maintains a web site which can be accessed at www.illawarrapcug.org.au

During the coffee break, members and guests mingle to share experiences and problems while getting to know other members in a very sociable atmosphere.

After this break, there is usually a demonstration of some fun or useful new shareware programs that are available to all members. Bring a spare diskette along in case you would like a copy. We do not charge for this service.

All of our meetings are open to the public

An annual membership fee entitles you to free entry to all general meetings, a hardcopy of a comprehensive newsletter which is posted monthly to all members, and discounts on fees at all workshops and training sessions, as well as technical support from our more advanced users.
